This CHP Operator role comes with a an hourly rate of £13-14.50 per hour + 30% shift allowance + benefits.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the CHP Manager, you will:
- Perform routine operations and maintenance tasks to ensure the plant operates at maximum efficiency and availability.
- Manage material handling processes, including operating heavy machinery such as loaders, telehandlers, and forklifts.
- Monitor and maintain key systems, including belt dryers, walking floors, and silos, to ensure optimal heat and power delivery.
- Conduct quality control activities such as sampling fuel moisture content, calorific values, and residue density.
- Respond to system alarms and adjust operational set points as required.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to scheduled maintenance tasks to support 24/7 plant operation.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
- A relevant engineering qualification is desirable.
- Experience in a similar heavy industry such in an operations position.
