This crucial Electrical, Control, and Instrumentation Technician role comes with a competitive salary + benefits and is Monday to Friday days. If you’re an experienced Maintenance Technician looking to work with an organisation that values integrity and prioritises its people, submit your CV to apply today.                   Responsibilities and duties Reporting to the EfW Maintenance Manager, you will:
  • Carry out both planned and reactive maintenance to the highest standards.
  • Ensure all new plant installations and modifications comply with the latest wiring standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform calibration and functional checks efficiently and competently on DCS/SCADA and PLC systems.
  • Maintain and update records within the computer maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Continuously seek to optimise plant performance, utilisation, and availability.
  • Supervise junior staff members, supporting their career development and oversee contract personnel.
  • Participate in a 24-hour callout rota for plant breakdowns outside of core hours.
  • Promote high levels of health and safety on site.
    Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following:  
  • NVQ Level 3 in a relevant engineering subject as a minimum.
  • HNC in Electrical Engineering is desirable.
  • Experience working in a similar maintenance position in heavy industry environments such as power, refineries, papermills, etc.
  • Experience using CMMS.
  • Experience with DCS, particularly regarding troubleshooting and fault-finding.
