Principal Tasks and Responsibilities  
  • To participate in the planning and preparation of works including production of RAMS.
  • To carry out work in accordance with the work packs and best practice and applicable trade/legal standards.
  • To comply with any health and safety requirements of the work pack or work area.
  • To carry out safety and behavioural observation.
  • To comply with quality requirements of the work pack.
  • To not proceed past a hold point.
  • To report any defects, damage, safety hazards or other problems to their line manager.
  • Any other task/duties, commensurate with the Role Holder’s competency, as directed by the Line Manager.
These duties are project specific and in addition to those described in the Company and project manuals and procedures.  He/she shall ensure familiarity with these documents and any legislation to which they refer. The project is for Fire Alarm installations inside a control area, covering multiple buildings and high risk areas.   

Responsibilities include:

  • Installation and commissioning of instrumentation
  • Electrical inspection and testing
  • Completion of electrical test certificates
  • Carry out diagnostics and problem solving for electrical and instrument systems
  • Calibration of instrumented systems
  • Acceptance and hand-back of PTWs
  • Performing all assigned tasks to agreed Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality standards and demonstrate a commitment to attaining high levels of HSE performance

 

You will need to possess experience of electrical installations and a sound knowledge control systems and process instrumentation.

 

Essential Requirements:

  • Active SC clearances - have to be eligible for DV clearances (past 10 years working in the UK minimum) 
  • Sole British Nationals 
  • 2 years out of the past 5 working in the nuclear sector -will accept people from nuclear subs too (BAE, Babcock, etc)
