Civil Site Engineer

Astute’s Renewable Team is partnering with a leading organisation within the renewable energy sector to recruit a Civil Site Engineer for its Glasgow site. The Civil Site Engineer role offers a salary of £60,000 - £70,000, alongside private healthcare and 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays. Responsibilities and duties of the Civil Site Engineer role Reporting to the Project Director and Project Manager you will:  
  • Carry out setting out duties and oversee daily site engineering activities, ensuring works are delivered accurately and to the required standards
  • Assist in the coordination and execution of civil construction activities in accordance with drawings, specifications and RAMS
  • Work closely with site management, subcontractors and project stakeholders to coordinate works and address technical queries
  •  Promote and maintain high health & safety standards through site inspections, audits and accurate record keeping
  • Support project reporting, quality assurance processes and the completion of project documentation
Professional qualifications   We are looking for someone with the following:  
  • Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • CSCS card (Engineering or above)
  • Experience using CAD
  Personal skills   The Civil Site Engineer role would suit someone who has:  
  • Proven experience working as a Site Engineer on civil engineering, infrastructure or construction projects
  • Strong setting out capabilities and confidence interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation
  •  Sound understanding of health & safety regulations and best practices within a construction environment
  •  Effective communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships across project teams
  • A well-organised, proactive approach with excellent attention to detail
