Due to continued growth, Capula are looking for a Project Manager to join their Energy team, based in Stone with flexible working available.
This is a delivery-focused role managing upgrade and modification projects for Transmission substation protection and control systems, primarily for National Grid and other Power Transmission clients.
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering complex engineering projects safely, on time, within budget, and to customer expectations.

Responsibilities and duties of the Project Manager role
As the Project Manager, you will be:

Managing multiple projects ranging from £50K to £2M from start to finish

Delivering projects to scope, budget, quality, and programme targets

Owning full financial responsibility for assigned projects

Managing subcontractors and external suppliers
-
Leading multi-disciplinary teams (hardware, software, installation engineers)
-
Running client progress and review meetings
-
Ensuring full compliance with QEHS requirements across all projects
-
Identifying and managing commercial and technical risks early
-
Supporting project delivery using planning and scheduling tools
-
Helping secure future work through strong client relationships and delivery performance

Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:

Project management experience in an engineering environment

Ideally experience in Power Transmission / regulated industries
-
Strong experience using Microsoft Project for planning and scheduling

Ability to manage subcontractors and complex project delivery

Strong commercial awareness and risk management skills
-
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel / stay away when required
-
Strong track record of delivering projects to time, cost, and quality
-
Experience working with NEC3 / NEC4 contracts
Desirable:

APM qualification (or working towards it)

Experience in bid work / project proposals
