Due to continued growth, Capula are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join their Nuclear division, based in Stone with flexible working available.
This is a senior leadership role, responsible for delivering a portfolio of complex, high-value projects within the Nuclear sector, involving full turnkey solutions across PLC/SCADA and safety-critical systems.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while leading and developing multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
Responsibilities and duties of the Senior Nuclear Project Manager role
As the Senior Project Manager, you will be:

Managing a portfolio of projects with cumulative values of several million pounds, from inception through to delivery

Ensuring projects are delivered to agreed timescales, specifications, budgets and customer satisfaction levels

Leading and managing multi-disciplinary teams including:

Project Managers
-
Hardware and Software Engineers
-
Installation Engineers (team sizes up to ~30)

Taking full financial responsibility for project delivery, including budget control, margin performance and subcontractor management
-
Liaising closely with internal production and engineering teams based in Stone
-
Managing subcontractors for specialist works and services
-
Ensuring all Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety (QEHS) requirements are met across projects
-
Holding regular progress and review meetings with clients
-
Supporting the development of long-term client relationships and future business opportunities
-
Overseeing the full project lifecycle including requirements definition, design and substantiation, implementation and testing, installation and commissioning and ongoing support

Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:

5–10+ years’ experience in Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) project management within the nuclear industry or a similarly regulated environment

Strong understanding of PLC/SCADA systems and electrical hardware

Experience working with NEC3 / NEC4 contracts

Experience managing subcontractors and complex supply chains

Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills

Ability to obtain Security Clearance (SC)

Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel, including occasional stays away
Desirable:

Project management qualification (e.g. APM, PMI or similar)

Safety qualification (e.g. IOSH Managing Safely)

Experience using CEMAR

Degree qualified, ideally in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
