Astute’s Nuclear team is partnering with an international company that operates across highly regulated sectors including Civil Nuclear and has a strong presence and history of delivery at nuclear sites in the UK and internationally. • Prepare design documentation throughout the design process
• Develop designs to satisfy technical specifications
• Prepare supporting design calculations to substantiate design
• Contribute to design reviews
• Prepare of technical specifications
• Prepare risk assessments, technical files and other technical documentation required by safety legislation and procedures

    Professional qualifications: We are looking for someone with the following:  

• A recognised Engineering Certificate such as HNC / HND / Degree
• Knowledge of the fundamentals of structures and foundations using Reinforced Concrete and Structural Steel
• Design experience in Reinforced Concrete and Structural Steel
• Knowledge and understanding of Structural steel connections and connection types
• Demonstrable competence gained in a design delivery position

    Personal skills: The CS&A Engineer role would suit someone who has/is:  

• Strong team player
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Full UK driving licence and ability to travel
• Ability to obtain security clearance
