Technical Sales Manager - Power & Process

Astute’s Nuclear team are exclusively partnering with a world leader in the field of cable and pipe seals and are looking to recruit a Technical Sales Manager to join their growing business in their Power and Process sector. The Technical Sales professional is key to further developing their Process Industry market in the UK. The role will be varied in focus, covering both engineering specification with leading industry design companies, but also extending to both owners and contractors involved in operating and constructing projects in their chosen markets and applications. This position comes with a salary of around £45,000, company vehicle and a bonus scheme of 20%-40% based on personal and company performance.   • Identify and engage with UK DNO companies and process industry projects, building brand awareness and securing specifications to drive sales.
  • Develop new business opportunities from initial contact through to inclusion on client-approved lists and maintain existing relationships.
  • Present the company’s’ solutions to key decision-makers through technical presentations, site visits, and training.
  • Drive sustainable growth via targeted sales plans and world-class project support.
  • Use CRM for customer management, provide market insights, and offer pre-sales technical advice.
    Professional qualifications: We are looking for someone with the following:  
  • University degree or equivalent, or sufficient industry experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience in selling technical solutions to decision-makers, with existing relationships in target sectors.
  • Strong understanding of civil construction, electrical, controls, automation, and mechanical systems in relevant markets.
  • Ability to develop structured plans, engage new prospects, and manage long-term sales projects.
  • Proven experience in providing technical support and application surveying, with a strong understanding of Ex standards, particularly in relation to enclosures and cable glands.
  • Successful track record of selling premium solutions in competitive environments, with in-depth knowledge of the UK DNO market.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to present solutions, and willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
