Astute’s Nuclear team is partnering with an international company that operates across highly regulated sectors including Civil Nuclear and has a strong presence and history of delivery at nuclear sites in the UK and internationally. They are looking for a Senior CS&A Engineer to provide hands-on analysis and design within the C&S department.
This integral position comes with a salary of up to £55,000 depending on experience and the chance to work on a hybrid basis.

Responsibilities and duties:
As the Senior CS&A Engineer you will:

Prepare design documentation throughout the design process

Develop designs to satisfy technical specifications

Prepare supporting design calculations to substantiate design
-
Contribute to design reviews
-
Prepare of technical specifications
-
Prepare risk assessments, technical files and other technical documentation required by safety legislation and procedures
Professional qualifications:
We are looking for someone with the following:
-
A recognised Engineering Certificate such as HNC / HND / Degree

Knowledge of the fundamentals of structures and foundations using Reinforced Concrete and Structural Steel

Design experience in Reinforced Concrete and Structural Steel

Knowledge and understanding of Structural steel connections and connection types

Demonstrable competence gained in a design delivery position
Personal skills:

Full UK driving licence and ability to travel

Ability to obtain security clearance
