I am a travel PTA turned recruiter for Pioneer Healthcare! I started my travel therapy career with Pioneer Healthcare and stayed with them until I joined the team as an Allied Recruiter. I decided to make the transition back in May 2023 because I was feeling burnt out and looking for an opportunity with more growth while still helping people in the community. I have learned that there are not very many recruiters that have clinical experience or even exposure to the ins and outs of our healthcare system! My biggest goal as a recruiter is to help to bridge that knowledge gap and serve as a Trusted resource for the travel community. I am active on Instagram (@pta.pioneer.recruiter) and have been using that platform to share not only Jobs, but to connect with clinicians, share some tips and tricks of traveling, and the occasional memes/ comedic relief on the joys of working in rehab!

I am originally from Central Indiana. I have my bachelors in Exercise Science from Purdue University ('14), and my Associates in Physical Therapy Assisting from the University of Evansville ('18). Some of the places I have lived include Charleston, SC; Ketchikan, AK; NE Oregon; Sonoma, CA; San Francisco, CA; Sonora, CA; and now San Diego, CA. I worked in SNFs for 3 years and transitioned to Home Health for the last 2 years of my travel career. I have now settled in San Diego with my adorable pup, Diego.

I'm a passionate beach lover, often found on long walks searching for shark teeth or immersed in a good book under my umbrella, serenaded by the soothing sounds of waves and birds. Since relocating to the beach in 2018, I've deepened my knowledge of sea turtles and cherished witnessing baby turtles embark on their inaugural ocean journey. Recently rediscovering my artistic side after a hiatus of over 20 years, I've reignited my love for creating. Alongside nurturing a thriving vegetable and flower garden, I'm also experimenting with a small worm farm. Family time is precious to me, surrounded by my husband, three kids, one dog, and two cats. Camping, or perhaps a touch of glamping, beckons as a future adventure I eagerly anticipate.

I consider myself calm, compassionate, and encouraging in my approach to recruiting. With a strong sense of adaptability, initiative, and a deep passion for quality care, I believe in embodying these traits to the fullest. I've found that the most successful travelers align themselves well with these characteristics, and I strive to uphold them in every aspect of my work.

I've been with Core coming up on three years and I love my job. I'm transparent, organized, communicative and have a good grasp on the travel therapy market. I'm continuously looking to learn so that I can continue to be a valuable resource to my travelers throughout their career.

I have a beautiful wife and 2 year old daughter. We're very family oriented and spend a lot of time with our immediate and extended family that, for the most part, all live close by. When I'm not spending time with family, I'm usually working on some other real estate or home related project.

I’m a wife and proud mom of two amazing kids, one just starting their college journey, and the other just starting Kindergarten! Life keeps me busy, but when I get a little spare time, I love being crafty and making things with my hands. Creativity keeps me grounded.

I believe in the power of kindness. Life can be tough enough, and if I can be a bright spot in someone’s day, even for a moment, that means everything to me.

Music is another big part of my life. I especially love catching live bands, with smooth jazz and orchestras being my absolute favorites.
