I am Kristie Christopherson and have been a recruiter with PRN Healthcare since 2014. I am happily married to my college sweetheart Bill since 2001 and have 2 amazing boys, Tanner and Quinn. We also have a black lab, Cole, who runs our house and gets all of our attention. My family and I have a cottage “Up North” Wisconsin, where we love to spend time relaxing on the boat in the summer and sitting by a cozy fire in the winter playing card and board games. The boys love hunting, fishing and anything nature related while I enjoy reading and peace and quiet when I can get it.
A little bit about me! Born and raised in Wisconsin but I now spend most of my time in Florida, traveling back and forth between Florida and Wisconsin. I have a diverse background in healthcare, combining my experience as a behavioral therapist working with children with autism and as my role as a travel nurse recruiter. I have developed a strong foundation in patient-centered care, communication, and understanding individual needs. 5 years in the travel nurse industry and transitioning into nurse recruiting, I have been able to contribute to patient care by connecting skilled healthcare professionals with facilities.
I’ve always been passionate about helping others, and being able to support nurses as they travel the country and care for patients makes it even more rewarding. I’ve been fortunate enough to be part of a lot of life moments—IVF journeys, love stories, student loan payoffs, new babies, once-in-a-lifetime vacations, new homes, even the occasional breakup. Through it all, I’ve been there alongside the nurses I work with. What I love most is helping nurses start new chapters; exploring new parts of the U.S., expand their skills, meet new people, learn new hospitals, grow their bank accounts, and most importantly changing patients lives.

I have been in several industries over my work experience, and being a recruiter is honestly one of the best experiences and jobs I've ever had! I graduated from X-Ray in 2010 and Rad Therapy in 2011. I worked in RTT and X-Ray for 4 years before moving from PA to FL. When I came to FL, I became a CT Tech to "pass the time" while I waited for a Radiation Therapy position to open. I ended up loving CT and working 3x12 was pretty nice as well! I left the field in late 2022 to take a shot at recruiting and have been doing so ever since.
