I have been recruiting with TRS Healthcare for 17 years. Before I began working with TRS, I practiced nursing in ER/Trauma. I graduated from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and am a Razorback fan! I love the outdoors and traveling with my family. We have a Great Pyrenees, Bear, who also loves to travel... mostly to play with kids and get treats from our neighbors.

TRS has a dynamic and forward-thinking leadership team that assures nurses the opportunity to experience career growth and greater financial security. I believe in this company. Nurses thrive here.

Why I love to recruit
I recruit because I am passionate about the nursing profession. I believe travelers develop a skill set that sets them apart from other nurses. Determination, the ability to change, and the desire to better their careers are just some of the traits that I admire. Travelers leave their professional footprints on each facility as they walk out the door. I am inspired by them every day.

When I'm not working I like to
Be with my family. Hike, kayak, read. Every year, my family and I spend a week in Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. TRS has facilities that are close to most of our Nation's National Parks!

She’s the best. She is the only recruiter my husband and I ever used in 10 years of traveling. Jan was always there for us, even if it was just to talk about random things. When we start traveling again, we will be with her. There’s just nobody like her.

About Jan Steele:

Jan is freakin amazing. I needed little from her but she was always contacting me to make sure I had whatever I needed. I had someone who reached out to me even when I didn't need anything, that was Jan. She didn't hesitate to find a solution to the problem if I had one. I feel like I could call Jan in a year or 5 years and we could pick up where we left off. I have nothing but great things to say about Jan and she will recommended to anyone I come in contact with who is deciding they might travel. There isn't a single negative thing I can say about Jan to critique her, she's awesome!!!
