Ron York has been recruiting travel nurses and techs in all specialties since 2000. He has been named Recruiter of the Year by Healthcare Traveler Magazine 3 times. By building lasting friendships with each of them, he’s able to work toward his own goal of keeping his travelers working with him throughout their entire travel careers. Before becoming a recruiter with TNAA, Ron served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 12 years in various duties around the world. Ron lives in Florence, South Carolina, with his wife of 20 years, 2 children and a dog.
One of my travelers said, “Ron is like a brother and part of our family. Never have I picked up the phone and he did not respond. He always called to check on me even when he didn’t need anything. That makes me feel special and appreciated. That’s why I keep coming back and sticking with him. Ron is a very hands-on recruiter and makes sure you are content throughout your assignment.”
Why I love recruiting...
God has given me the skills set to communicate with people and help meet their needs.
When I'm not working, I love to...
I am an active member of my local church where I teach 3rd grade Sunday School and sing in the choir. I love history and am involved with several historic preservation projects and local museums.
He was constantly reaching out to me and helping me figure out next steps.

Ron has been wonderful to work with. He has answered me on numerous occasions even when he was not working. I was surprised to receive a response a few times because I knew it was outside of his normal hours. His response was, “ I know you guys don’t work normal hours.” I appreciated that very much. I feel like he makes it a point to make a personal connection so you do not feel like just another recruit. He is wonderful and very easy to work with. I feel like he truly works for/and with me. I am glad to have found him!!
Ron has always listened to what was important to me and responded accordingly. He also seems genuinely interested in my well being since he gave me a call while I was hospitalized. My hope is that we will have a long and positive working relationship.
I need a recruiter who:
calls me back in a timely manner when I need something
understands my work ethic
listens to understand my needs
checks in every couple weeks just so I know he's not forgotten me
Ron is all these things and more. He is kind, thoughtful, deeply respectful, and I trust him.
