  • Join our dynamic Vehicle and Propulsion Controls (PVPC) organization where innovation, leadership, passion, cooperation, and responsibility thrive.
  • As a Software Verification Engineer, you will be the technical reference for verifying embedded software in propulsion nodes including engine, transmission, and hybrid controllers.
  • You’ll work in a fast-paced, hybrid environment, leveraging advanced virtual facilities to ensure software features meet performance and functional objectives.
  • Analyze requirements against software documentation
  • Design and execute tests for software features using advanced virtual facilities (Hardware in the Loop)
  • Interact with the Calibration team to pre-calibrate new software algorithms
  • Support Lesson Learned initiatives to improve testing quality
  • Troubleshoot issues to facilitate root cause analysis and resolution
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor or Master of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience, including 2 years in automotive
  • Ability to work in an Agile environment
  • Excellent knowledge of Simulink models
  • Fluent in English
  • Valid driver's license
  • Proactive attitude with ownership and accountability
  • Previous experience in Controls/Software development, testing, or calibration is a plus

Hourly pay range $73.26 Hybrid role, 3 days in-office(required), 2 days remote Job Responsibilities                                               Your specific duties as a Electrical Estimator will include:  
  • Assists project management teams by developing, monitoring and updating estimates as part of an integrated project plan, so that the project may be executed in the most efficient manner possible.
  • Applies methods and techniques, standards, processes, procedures, guidelines and templates, to efficiently manage, develop, and control project estimates.
  • Assignments are received in the form of results expected, within operating policies and procedures.
  • Decisions may involve changes to normal work processes.
  • Supports project team and estimating personnel efforts toward the development of the project plan and translating the project plan into the project estimate.
  • Develops and provides analysis of project estimates as applicable.
  • Ensures the credibility of the information contained in the estimate and associated cost management plans.
  • Assists with the preparation of project time and/or cost claims.
  • Develops and records project historical estimate information and lessons learned.
  • Applies methodologies, techniques and tools, software, standards and guidelines for estimating, knowledgeable in application of estimating software and application of the software.
  • Timberline estimating software experience preferred.
  • Ensures that required project estimating and/or planning controls are appropriately implemented and maintained.
  • Participates in continuous improvement through benchmarking and maintaining affiliations with industry organizations and local/national chapters.
  • May require the physical ability to work in a power plant environment (e.g. climb stairs, work in hot, confined environments.

  • Knowledge in design, construction, program estimating. This includes developing various levels of cost estimate classifications (ROM, conceptual, parametric, definitive, etc.), financial and economic estimating and analysis, establishment of contingencies based on type of estimate and risk models.
  • Understanding of estimating models, techniques and methods, estimating quality and accuracy analysis, estimating strategy and estimating optimization (creating estimating models, simulations and sensitivity analysis), life cycle costing, budgeting, cash flow and forecasting, developing estimate basis, understanding of market conditions and how they affect estimates.
  • Knowledge in cost elements, cost dimensions, cost classifications, cost types (material, equipment, labor, overhead and profit), subcontract and purchased costs, pricing strategies, development of code of accounts, quantification, estimating factors, ratios and indices, product and project costs.
  • Ability to apply project planning & implementation and/or continuous improvement principles (typically acquired through several years of experience in these areas) to affect tangible, positive outcomes.
  • Promotes an atmosphere conducive to the open exchange of new ideas, and alternatives to orthodox approaches.
  • Ability to work in a team and/or matrixed structure, supporting multiple clients. Ability to travel to various work locations is required.
  • Flexibility & the ability to work with shifting priorities; embrace new/evolving responsibilities.

  • Preferred: 2+ years' experience in power distribution estimating on large projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or a related field and the knowledge / capabilities typically acquired through 3 plus years of job relevant experience estimating for large power distribution projects.
  • InEight estimating knowledge would be a plus.
  • Electrical Engineering degree and/or good understanding of power distribution systems.

  • The Production Supervisor will be responsible for managing small work teams in a fast paced, high volume, unionized, manufacturing environment.
  • The Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring team safety; building teams and training / allocating manpower; driving and implementing continuous improvement solutions to improve product quality and reach throughput and cost targets; and ensuring team morale.
  • Coordination of all activities to achieve business metrics
  • Ensure the production plan is met; analyze issues with other roles, drive and implement continuous improvement activities and sustainability of solutions inside the zone.
