Job Title: Payroll Team Lead

Pay: $70,000/year Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Start Date: ASAP

Ready to take the next step in your payroll career? We're seeking a Payroll Team Lead to join a growing organization near Shaker Heights, OH, where you'll help guide payroll operations, support team success, and deliver exceptional service to clients.

In this role, you'll provide day-to-day leadership for the payroll team while serving as a key resource during client onboarding and payroll setup. You'll partner with internal staff to ensure accurate, timely payroll processing across a variety of pay schedules and employee classifications, while helping streamline processes, resolve payroll issues, and maintain a high standard of client support.

What You'll Do

As a Payroll Team Lead, you will be responsible for:

• Serve as a primary resource for the payroll team by assisting with questions, resolving processing challenges, and promoting efficient daily operations.
• Administer payroll for a diverse client portfolio, ensuring accurate and timely processing across multiple pay schedules, employee classifications, and special compensation scenarios.
• Assist with onboarding new payroll clients by coordinating implementation activities and providing operational support throughout the transition process.
• Balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, responding quickly to changing deadlines while maintaining payroll accuracy.

What You'll Bring The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• Demonstrated ability to manage payroll for a variety of pay frequencies and diverse employee groups, including salaried and hourly staff.
• Experience accurately processing payroll for multiple organizations or large employee populations in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to adjust priorities quickly, respond effectively to shifting workloads, and meet critical payroll deadlines.
• Prior experience providing guidance, training, or day-to-day support to coworkers or serving in an informal leadership capacity is beneficial.
• Exposure to payroll platforms such as ADP, Vensure, or similar payroll systems is preferred.

Location & Schedule: This position is hybrid in the Cleveland area. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Occasional second on-site days may be required to meet team needs.
