Job Title: Cash Applications Specialist

Pay: $24-26/hr  Hours: Monday through Friday (Full-time, on-site) Start Date: ASAP

In this role, you’ll be responsible for accurately applying and recording customer payments, researching discrepancies, and helping maintain clean and up-to-date accounts receivable records. You’ll collaborate with the accounting team to resolve payment-related questions, assist with audit documentation, and identify opportunities to improve cash application processes and efficiency.

What You’ll Do

As a Cash Applications Specialist, you will be responsible for:

• Post and record payments received through various payment channels
• Review daily cash activity and investigate any variances or posting discrepancies
• Coordinate the processing of adjustments and credit memos with appropriate departments
• Work collaboratively to investigate and resolve customer payment questions
• Review transactions for unusual activity and escalate potential payment concerns when necessary
• Maintain organized financial documentation and records for audit purposes

What You’ll Bring

The ideal candidate for this role will have: 

• 5+ years of experience in accounting, cash application, or comparable financial functions
• Strong focus on accuracy, with careful attention to detail
• Proficient with Excel and accounting systems with the ability to learn new platforms
• Self-directed and capable of balancing competing priorities while consistently meeting deadlines
• College-level accounting or finance education preferred

Location & Schedule

This position is fully onsite in the Shaker Heights area and offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule. Candidates must be able to commute or relocate for this opportunity.
