Duties and Responsibilities for Metal Fabrication Assistant:

• Operate various hand power tools
• Use machinery to bend, form and cut metal parts
• Read and interpret shop drawings, details and be proficient at understanding key dimensions, angles, tolerances, and finish requirements
• Work closely with the Welder/Fabricator to achieve production goals

Skills and Qualifications for Metal Fabrication Assistant:

• Ability to work independently, and follow directions, understand and interpret drawings, details, and written instructions.
• Ability to safely operate metal cutting equipment (iron worker, saws, grinder, sander, oxy-fuel torch, etc.)
• Proficient at using measurement tools (tape measure, caliper, square, etc.)
• Be able to read/understand details
• Adaptable and ready for pace changes
• Self-Starting/Highly Motivated
• Good hand eye coordination
• Ability to multitask
• Work well others and independently
• Be able to follow verbal and written instructions
• Great attendance is a must, so reliable transportation is necessary
• Flexibility: Over time and split shifts are a possibility depending on the workload.

Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM Must be available to work OT IF/WHEN mandated by client, and occasional Saturdays depending on workflow First Day Start Time:  8:00AM Pay Rate: $17.00/hour
