Job Title: PVC Grinding Technician

Pay: $18.00/hour Hours: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, every other Wednesday, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM Start Date: ASAP

As a PVC Grinding Technician, you'll be an essential part of the process by safely handling materials, operating equipment, and ensuring high-quality output. You'll work closely with the production team to maintain workflow, uphold safety standards, and contribute to efficient recycling and material processing.

What You'll Do

As a PVC Grinding Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Lifting and maneuvering large PVC pipes and bundles throughout the work area.
• Using air hoses to clean rejected products, removing dust, debris, stickers, and gaskets.
• Operating a forklift to transport and position material bundles onto grinding racks.
• Removing straps from bundles prior to processing.
• Wearing all required PPE, including helmets with face shields and ear protection.
• Safely feeding rejected PVC products into the grinder while maintaining awareness of potential ejected materials.
• Monitoring grinder operation and pausing when necessary, such as when the hopper indicates a catch-up is needed.
• Closing dump valves and removing filled bags of pulverized material.
• Weighing and recording the weights of finished bags accurately.
• Storing processed material properly in designated areas, following safety protocols.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.

• Basic mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn equipment operation.
• Reliability, a strong work ethic, and capacity to work long shifts comfortably.

Location & Schedule:

This position is on-site in Pendleton, Oregon. It offers a full-time, compressed work schedule: Thursday through Saturday and every other Wednesday, from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with an immediate start available.
