As an
Accounting & Payroll Specialist, you’ll be instrumental in managing daily financial operations, multi-state payroll, accounts payable, and general ledger reconciliations.
You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
What You'll Do
As an
Accounting & Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for
- • Process bi-weekly and off-cycle payroll checks using ADP; manage daily personnel updates, mileage, and reimbursements.
- • Analyze payroll GL tracking and coding, oversee labor distribution, and post payroll data to the GL.
- • Review and track payroll tax payments, perform payroll audits, and complete year-end reporting (W-2s/W-3s).
- • Complete monthly balancing and payment of benefit invoices.
- • Maintain current knowledge of local, state, and federal payroll laws.
- • Enter revenue receipts, reconcile bank deposits, and balance revenue cycle and checking accounts.
- • Perform month-end balancing of accounts receivable and payroll liability accounts.
- • Monitor and audit cash-handling processes, maintaining proper documentation of workpapers.
- • Follow up on variances and resolve unbalanced accounts.
- • Receive, enter, and pay invoices related to payroll and vendor expenses; act as backup for full AP processing.
- • Must be proficient using ADP Workforce Now Software.
- • Schedule check runs, resolve purchase order issues, issue stop-payments, and track vendor credit.
- • Manage executive expenditure logs for board and finance committee presentations.
- • Assist with annual financial audit preparation and historical budget reporting.
- • Produce quarterly and annual financial reports; complete compliance surveys for assigned areas.

What You’ll Bring
The ideal candidate for this role will have
- • An associate degree in accounting or a related field required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- • 3+ years in general accounting functions and automated payroll processing (5+ years preferred).
- • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), ADP, and automated financial systems (Sage experience strongly desired).
- • Exceptional accuracy, high attention to detail, strong multi-tasking skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- • Ability to sit for extended periods, communicate effectively, and perform data entry and 10-key operations.

Location & Schedule: This is a full-time, on-site position in Eugene, Oregon, offering Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM shifts (30–40 hours per week depending on workload).
Occasional travel between facilities may be necessary. Flexibility for early morning or evening meetings during peak periods may be required.
