Job Title: Field Millwright

Pay: $25 - $30/hr Hours: Full-time, travel required Start Date: ASAP

As a Field Millwright, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the installation and maintenance of industrial machinery across various worksites in Oregon and surrounding states. You’ll collaborate closely with our skilled team to deliver top-notch results that make a difference.

What You’ll Do

As a Field Millwright, you will be responsible for:

• Installing machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other technical drawings in industrial establishments.
• Dismantling machines using torches, hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools.
• Moving machinery and equipment using cranes, hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
• Assembling and installing equipment such as shafting, conveyors, and tram rails utilizing welders and other hand and power tools.
• Constructing foundations for machines using hand tools and building materials such as wood, cement, and steel.
• Aligning machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.

What You’ll Bring The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• A minimum of 3 years of prior experience in a related field.
• Preference for experience in the wood products, lumber, or mill industry.
• The ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Proficiency in operating an engine lathe to grind, file, and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications.
