Job Title: Structural Steel Welder Fabricator Urgently Hiring!

We are seeking a Welder Fabricator for a Temp-Hire position with our client, a reputable steel fabrication shop, located in Corvallis, Oregon. The ideal candidate will maintain a safe environment and perform duties with a high level of quality. As a Structural Steel Welder Fabricator, you will be responsible for:

• Reading and interpreting drawings, blueprints and specifications to determine layout requirements and follow process procedures
• Operating welding equipment using FCAW, GMAW, SMAW, GTAW, SAW, and other processes as required
• Operating other equipment and machines such as brakes, shears and manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment, brazing and soldering equipment.
• Performing layout and fit-up of structural steel components including beams, columns, braces, and connections
• Repairing worn parts of metal products by welding on extra layers.
• Other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-4 years of structural steel welding experience preferred.
• Must be familiar with AWS welding symbols
• Desire to work everyday in the shop, not travelling 
• Strong attention to detail and a high quality of work 
• Safety conscious mind-set 
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs consistently and stand for long periods.
