Duties and Responsibilities for Food Production Lab Technician
- Create lab prototypes from product development concepts including but not limited to sourcing of new raw materials, packaging materials and research into new product/process/packaging technologies
- Assist in sensory evaluation of raw materials and finished goods
- Responsible for organizing and maintaining the R&D lab, storage areas and the shelf-life study room
- Assist in creating and conducting production test plans and approving new products and designs with regards to those tests
- Conduct stability tests for all new products and packaging confirming shelf life. Conducts research as required to extend shelf life of new or existing products or test new materials. Maintains all shelf life studies and documentation
- Assist in formula and recipe set up for costing
- Provide as required and when directed research ability, analytical testing and advice related to research on new or existing ingredients, packaging, products, production/process engineering and assists in any Quality related projects
- Responsible for lab upkeep
- Responsible for supporting and maintaining Food Safety and Quality programs
Skills and Qualifications for Food Production Lab Technician
- 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or lab environment, performing technician or operator responsibilities, highly preferred (combined experience with education will be considered)
- HS Diploma or GED Equivalent from an accredited institution required
- Previous experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

8:00AM - 5:00PM
Must be available for OT when mandated by client
Pay Rate Range:
$25.00 - $30.00/hour, DOE
