Food Production Worker

A well established, local Producer of  All-Natural Salsa's, Dips and Chips for over 3 decades, that get distributed to grocery stores throughout Oregon and Southern Washington is seeking a Food Production Worker on DAY SHIFT to join their growing team.  Need help applying? Call us at 541-746-6200!

Duties and Responsibilities for Food Production Worker:

  • Work on various, small scale production lines for different, organic food products 
    • Sometimes Working on, Operating or Bagging on the Chip and Tortilla line
    • Sometimes Lifting and Dumping 50 lb bags of product into the mixing machine
    • Sometimes working on the faster paced, Salsa and Dip line etc.
  • May assist with the making of Cardboard boxes and packaging for outbound shipment 
  • May sometimes operate an electric pallet jack or sit-down Forklift (would be trained first) to assist in loading the product pallets onto trucks for outbound shipment
  • General Clean-Up of the Line / Work Space.
    • Break down and cleaning of Machinery 
      • Daily Soap Scrub and rinsing of equipment 
      • Daily Soap Wash and rinsing of floors
    • Monthly Deep Clean, Bleach Wash Sanitation 

Skills and Qualifications for Food Production Worker:

  • Must have a strong work ethic, positive attitude and be a team-player who wants to learn and help out wherever needed
    • There will be cross training in various departments, with thorough training provided
  • Must be able to work independently as well as part of a larger team 
  • Must be able to follow GMPs and Food Safety Regulations 
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs as needed throughout the day.
    • Not repetitive lifting, but some short bursts of repetition may be required.
  • Must be comfortable and able to bend, stoop, twist and lift in a safety conscious manner and be able to be on your feet on a hard floor surface for the duration of a full 8 hour shift.
  • Someone who is willing and wanting to be Forklift Trained to assist in loading outbound trucks would be ideal (or has previous forklift exp.) 
    • Forklift Training will be provided
  • Must be able to keep up with Production pace
    • Pace varies product to product

Temp-Hire Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday 5:00 AM - 2:00 PM * Schedule may vary some days coming in as late as 7 or 8 AM and working until 3 - 5 pm at latest, and Friday's are often shorter days, with Tues - Thurs being the longer work days.     - Having the flexibility to work any/all of these hours, as production needs dictate is a huge plus!  Pay Rate: $18.00/hour
