Duties and Responsibilities for CNC Machinist:
- Sets up mills and lathes by:
- Entering instructions, including zero and reference points, selling tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches.
- Installing and adjusting three and four-jaw chucks, vises, tools, various attachments, collects, bushings, cams, gears, stops and stock pushers; indicating vices; tramming heads. Loads feed mechanisms by lifting stock into CNC Machine.
- Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specification, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
- Change, edit, or update CNC programs, and maintain program log as required by management business systems
- Adhere to all safety and quality policies and meets company quality goals of on-time delivery of completed parts without compromising quality, safety or equipment life.
- Observe drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
Skills and Qualifications for CNC Machinist:
- Attention to detail, adaptability, dependable, problem solving
- Safety focused, team environment
- High School diploma or GED
- Preferred 5 years of Machinist experience
- Basic computer skills: MS Office, data collection software and ERP system
- Ability to stand for most of the shift.

- Schedule:
- Weekend: Friday - Sunday 6am - 6:30pm
- Swing: Monday - Thursday 4pm - 2:30am
- Wage: Depending on Experience
- Duration: Temp to Hire
