As a Building Maintenance Technician, you'll ensure the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of a large industrial facility through skilled hands-on repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance. You’ll work closely with the maintenance team to keep building systems operating smoothly and safely—making a positive impact on daily operations.

What You'll Do

As a Building Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Routine Inspections & Preventative Maintenance   Conduct regular inspections of buildings, systems, and equipment to identify maintenance needs, wear, or potential safety hazards.   Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems to ensure reliable operation and extend equipment life.   Inspect and maintain lighting systems, fixtures, doors, locks, flooring, and windows to ensure functionality and safety.   Document inspection findings and perform minor repairs or escalate issues to appropriate personnel for resolution.
• Repairs & Troubleshooting   Diagnose and repair issues related to electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or general facility infrastructure.   Perform light carpentry, painting, and drywall repair to maintain facility appearance and function. Replace worn or broken components (filters, belts, fixtures, etc.) and ensure equipment is returned to operational condition promptly.   Coordinate with external vendors or contractors when specialized repair or service is required.

What You'll Bring

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2–5 years of experience in building maintenance, facilities operations, or a related skilled trade required
• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and repairing systems such as HVAC, plumbing, or electrical preferred
• Experience working in a commercial, industrial, or multi-building environment is highly desirable

Technical Skills: Working knowledge of building systems including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and work orders.  Proficient in the safe operation and maintenance of power tools, hand tools, and diagnostic instruments.  Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs, safety regulations, and building code compliance.  Basic computer literacy for recordkeeping and maintenance management systems (e.g., work order tracking).
