As a Utility Ground Crew Laborer, you’ll play a key role assisting field technicians with underground fiber installation and site preparation. This position requires a strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks throughout the workday.

What You'll Do:

As a Utility Ground Crew Laborer, you will be responsible for:

• Going into customers’ homes and working on their property

• Digging ditches and assisting with underground fiber installation

• Pulling reels and assisting technicians with equipment setup

• Shoveling gravel and preparing work areas

• Raising lightweight measuring sticks and reading measurements to team members

• Writing down measurements provided by field technicians

• Driving a company vehicle to drop off or pick up employees at designated locations

• Assisting the crew with daily tasks to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently

What You’ll Bring:

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• Previous experience working with underground equipment (a huge plus!)

• High energy and a strong work ethic

• A team-player mindset and willingness to assist wherever needed

• Ability to lift and maneuver 50+ lbs consistently

• Reliability and punctuality

• Ability to perform bending, pushing, pulling, standing, and kneeling throughout the workday

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required for on-the-job driving

• Reliable personal vehicle required

• Willingness to perform very physically demanding work
