Job Title: Material Handler

Pay: $21.50 per hour Hours: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM Start Date: ASAP

Join a well-established company specializing in large-scale conveyor systems as a Material Handler in Eugene, Oregon, and contribute directly to efficient material flow, outdoor yard operations, and production support. As a Material Handler, you’ll ensure accurate delivery of materials and support the production team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, making a difference every day.

What You’ll Do:

As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for:

• Verifying parts against packing slips and crating small bundles at the crib table.
• Unloading vendor trucks by forklift upon completing company certification.
• Inspecting incoming materials for accuracy and quality.
• Distributing materials to designated locations throughout the yard and facility.
• Removing dunnage, debris, and excess packaging from incoming shipments.
• Comparing shipment contents with records to ensure accuracy.
• Building custom wooden shipping pallets and crates for small finished goods.
• Kitting materials for distribution to the shop and other manufacturing facilities.
• Kitting finished goods for customer shipment.
• Delivering part kits to and from designated work areas.
• Operating forklifts to move materials up to 10,000 lbs.
• Organizing inventory and work-in-process materials in the storage yard and facility.
• Supporting a clean, safe, and well-organized outdoor work area.

What You’ll Bring:

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of recent forklift experience (required).
• Receiving or warehouse experience (preferred).
• Ability to read tape measures and basic blueprints.
• Ability to comprehend invoices, receipts, packing slips, and material orders.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and work outdoors on your feet.
• Strong reliability, punctuality, and consistent attendance.
• Comfort working in varying weather conditions.
