Job Title: Machine Operator

Pay: $20.00/hr Hours: 5am to 1:30pm, Monday to Friday Start Date: ASAP

As a Machine Operator, you’ll support daily production activities, ensuring equipment runs smoothly and quality standards are met. You’ll work closely with team members to maintain operational efficiency and uphold safety standards, making a meaningful impact on the company’s success.

What You’ll Do:

• Coordinate with material handlers and heavy equipment operators to determine material flow and usage for each shift.
• Ensure shakers (mixers) are filled accurately to maintain a steady production flow.
• Select and load the correct roll stock onto machines, making necessary adjustments to meet quality and production standards.
• Perform quality checks, including weighing and volume assessments, to verify product specifications.
• Communicate with material handlers about moisture levels or switches to alternative materials as needed.
• Conduct housekeeping duties, such as sweeping and clearing conveyor areas, aisles, and walkways, following safety procedures to prevent injuries and ensure a clean work environment.
• Complete detailed and accurate production documentation promptly.
• Report machine issues or safety concerns to maintenance personnel immediately to prevent downtime.
• Follow all safety protocols to protect yourself and your colleagues at all times.

What You’ll Bring:

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions effectively.
• Experience working in environments that may be dusty, hot, cold, or rainy.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds safely.
• Comfortable climbing ladders and standing for extended periods.
• Willingness to work mandatory overtime, including weekends and holidays.
• Good attention to detail and a proactive attitude.

Location & Schedule:

This position is on-site in Independence, OR, with working hours from 5am to 1:30pm, Monday through Friday. Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required to meet production demands.
