Job Details

  • Pay: $32.00-$35.00/hour (DOE)
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday (Hybrid)
  • Start: ASAP
  • End Date: 05/16/2026 (high possibility of extension)
  • Shifts: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm 
  • Location: Emeryville, CA (Multi-Specialty Clinic)
  • Duration: 6 Weeks initially, high possibility of extension

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associates or Bachelors degree is preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in surgery scheduling is required
  • Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
  • EPIC is highly preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule surgeries, procedures, and related patient appointments
  • Perform front desk duties including patient check-in and check-out
  • Greet and assist patients with questions regarding appointments, schedules, and payments
  • Answer multi-line phone systems, route calls, and take messages for clinic staff and physicians
  • Ensure appropriate verifications and authorizations are completed prior to patient visits
  • Communicate with providers regarding scheduling preferences and urgent patient needs
  • Provide doctor-patient support using reference tools and documentation
  • Handle administrative tasks such as maintaining databases, processing internal forms, and managing documentation
  • Utilize telephone systems and electronic medical records to complete daily tasks
  • Respond to non-clinical CRM inquiries and patient messages, escalating when appropriate
  • Manage and distribute faxes, mail, and clinic documentation
  • Meet or exceed organizational and departmental service standards
