What the job is like

• Pay: $87.50/hour • Schedule: 36 hours per week • Shifts: Day shift (12 hours, 3 days a week) • Location: Sylmar, CA • Duration: 16-week assignment

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Licenses and Certifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license • AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications • MAB or CPI certification • LA City Fire and Life Safety Card

Experience:

• Minimum 3–5 years of recent Operating Room (OR) experience • Strong background in perioperative services including pre-op and post-anesthesia care • Experience across multiple specialties (Orthopedics, Robotics, ENT, Plastic Surgery, Gynecology, Urology, Vascular, Podiatry, Thoracic, General Surgery, etc.) • Experience in staff supervision, training, and workflow coordination Preferred: • Leadership experience in Operating Room settings • Experience managing multidisciplinary surgical teams

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of the Operating Room • Support and coordinate surgical services including scheduling and case flow • Supervise and guide OR staff, ensuring high-quality patient care • Assist in complex and routine surgical procedures • Ensure proper use and management of surgical instruments and equipment • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes • Maintain compliance with safety protocols and regulatory standards • Provide leadership in adapting to changing surgical demands and priorities
