Hi, I'm Heather! I've been a recruiter for 15 years. I specialize in staffing travel contracts, in both nursing, therapy and education. I staff nationwide and am currently located in San Diego, CA but how I got there is a story for another time! I've been lucky enough to have traveled a lot and explored lots of different locations (VA/DC, MN, TX, TN, MI are just a few states that I've lived in). You can say that I have aced geography and can give you the nitty-gritty on just about any area in the U.S. you want to go! :)

As a recruiter, I believe my innate sense of curiosity is what drives me. I am highly intuitive and a great listener. If you are working with me, know that I am fully invested in your success and you are not just a number. I want to genuinely get to know YOU and I'll always have your best interest at heart. What you can expect from me: I will ask what's important to you and why, if you have kids or pets I'll maybe ask their names and I'd love to know what you like to do when you're not working. I'll challenge you to think about your career goals three months, six months, even twelve months out. I am a planner, so my candidates know that I'm always thinking one step ahead and if there's a particular job or location you want, my hunter mentality will kick in & I'll do everything in my power to find you that perfect match. And if you're not a planner, or maybe don't know what you want, that's cool too! My intention is always to ask you the right questions that will help guide you in your search. You're never flying blind in this process, I've got you every single step of the way.

Why I love to recruit
For me it's really about the matchmaking process. I really take time to get to know my candidates on a personal level so I can make sure I am presenting a position that aligns with their career aspirations, personal goals and professional skills. There is no better feeling then being able to deliver an offer & know that you made a difference in that person's world that day. It lights me up every single time & the #1 reason I do what I do!

When I'm not working I like to
Hang out w/ with my fur kids, I have two boxers & a frenchie - I love them so much! I also volunteer once a week at the local animal shelter and am training to become a professional handler & agility/obedience trainer! So if you love dogs as much as I do, we'll have plenty to talk about :) Other loves: Hiking & Exploring, Writing about Traveling & Exploring, Traveling Internationally (20+ countries & counting!), Hot Yoga, Book Clubs, Cooking while listening to french music (I know, very specific), Peloton obsessed (follow me on the leaderboard @justdothework_), Attending Live Music Shows, Dining Out (I'm a big foodie so I'm your go-to for any new restaurants or happenings in your city!)
