Emmaline Cochrane

Hi!

I'm Emmaline. I'm a recruiter here at NuWest. When I first started recruiting it was for our Scientific division. Though I do still assist with finding these amazing candidates for our awesome Bio-Tech companies, I slowly switched over to recruiting within the medical field! As of right now my focus is connecting with our wonderful health care workers and assisting them with finding positions that can A. make the right step in their career goals, B. provide stability within their life, or C. find their dream job!

Now to give you a little bit about me; I'm from Kansas - yes, I'm very proud of that! I have a bachelor's degree in Animal Science and Industries with an emphasis in Pre. Veterinary Medicine. I have worked as a Scientist in Virology for the USDA and have also been a veterinary aid working with large & small animals. I have a passion for health care in every sense!

Fun facts about me; I was a college athlete, competing nationally in both cheer & dance. My dad and I started a company back home that he still operates, we sell honey! We started with 5 wild caught bee hives and now he's up to 15!

Why I love to recruit
I love helping others in general, but helping people find their career paths is life-changing. Being able to assist with a stepping stone position is an amazing feeling, you're changing someone's life forever! It fills my heart to get a candidate an offer for a career they thought was far out of their reach. I love being an advocate and aiding the growth of the community!

When I'm not working I like to
Anything outside! I love the outdoors, I'm from Kansas so my heart belongs to the land. I enjoy hiking, swimming, frisbee golf, kayaking, taking care of my animals, gardening, and getting more plants!!
