I’m Gillian Bass, Senior Recruiting & Client Success Manager at Nicklas Laboratory Staffing. I specialize in placing Histotechnicians and Cytotechnologists across the country, with a focus on being transparent, supportive, and consultative in every interaction. My goal is always to make the process seamless for both clients and candidates.

I was raised in Central Florida and also spent time living in Indiana and North Carolina growing up, which gave me a love for connecting with people from all walks of life. These days I’m back in Florida, where I share life with my fiancé, five cats, and two dogs—Toast and Biscuit.

Why I love to recruit
I recruit in the laboratory and medical space because I truly enjoy working with people, and my background as a CNA gives me a personal connection to the field. What drives me is the opportunity to send professionals all over the country, connect with so many people every day, and know that I’ve played a role in changing someone’s career—or even their life. Recruiting allows me to combine my love for helping people with building lasting relationships, not just with my candidates but with my clients as well.

When I'm not working I like to
When I’m not working, I like to spend time with my fiancé and our pets. I enjoy taking the dogs for walks around a nearby marina, staying active at the gym almost every day, and exploring local coffee shops and breweries. Whether it’s relaxing with my pets or finding a new favorite latte, I try to make the most of my downtime.
