Matthew is doing an amazing job in his role of screening potential candidates for career roles he is supporting. He completes the screening process in an extremely thorough, but timely manner. While having a history of interviewing candidates, there are times I felt the candidate says what you want to hear, which leaves for a sense of not truly garnering a true understanding of who the candidate is or their true expectations in the job search. Matthew does a fantastic job in asking relevant questions, diving deeper into areas based on the answers provided, seeks clarity, and more importantly reiterates what he has heard throughout the process. His process is to initially gather information about the candidate's true self, work history, strengths, passions, and career expectations prior to concentrating on a specific job's details. I found his process allows a deeper understanding of the client in an effort to better determine a "right fit", which eliminates the candidate being able to tailor their responses based on a specific role or job description. I feel this is a best practice in finding the best candidate for each potential role he is sponsoring. Great job, Matthew! Keep up the amazing work and setting the high precedence!!
