My name is Melissa Rodriguez, and I’ve been recruiting since 2013. Before that, I spent over 10 years in the hotel industry, where I learned the importance of service, relationship-building, and creating positive experiences. I’m passionate about connecting candidates from all backgrounds to opportunities where they can truly succeed and making a big impact in their lives. I focus on listening, understanding, and supporting both candidates and clients. I take pride in being approachable, supportive, and dedicated to finding the best fit, not just a quick placement.

Why I love to recruit
What first drew me to recruiting was people and the chance to grow personally and professionally. Over time, I’ve discovered how rewarding it is to connect individuals with opportunities where they can thrive, whether it’s an entry-level role or an executive position. Seeing someone succeed in a new job fills my heart and reminds me that recruiting isn’t just a career for me, it’s also a calling. I love taking stress off clients and managers, building trust, and delivering results that truly make a difference. What sets me apart is my commitment to finding the right fit, not just a quick placement. I take time to understand each candidate and what will make them happy long term. Even on tough days, I stay motivated by remembering past success stories. One of my proudest moments was helping a candidate with a criminal background secure a second chance. He grew into a leadership role and became one of my top placements. Moments like that remind me why I love recruiting: because it changes lives.

When I'm not working I like to
When I’m not recruiting, I enjoy singing (even if I’m no Selena!) and dancing to country and Tejano music. I love writing poems, journaling, and meditating as ways to recharge and reflect. Family is my greatest joy—I spend as much time as I can with my husband, children and grandsons, whether we’re at the beach, traveling, or cheering on my kids at baseball and softball games. I believe in living with joy, balance, and gratitude, and I bring that same energy into my work and the people I connect with.
