Although things ultimately didn't work out for us with this particular opportunity, I genuinely appreciate the communication, time and effort you put in from day one. This job market has been tough, and I'm sure navigating it from a recruiter's perspective isn't always easy either.
Just to give some context, I've been passively searching for a job for a year, actively for 9 months and have lost count of the amount of times I've not received a response, update, or even a rejection after being a finalist for a position. It can be demoralizing. That is why I want you to know how much I appreciated your communication throughout this process. Even when there wasn’t necessarily news to share, simply receiving an update on where things stood made a difference. It reminded me that I wasn’t just another resume in the system.
