IDR is seeking a Athletics Business Operations & Financial Strategy to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. This role involves providing expert advisory services to collegiate athletic departments, focusing on financial processes, compliance, and operational efficiency. The organization is a leader in the sports and athletics industry, dedicated to supporting athletic programs through strategic financial management.

Position Overview for the Athletics Business Operations & Financial Strategy:

• Brings hands-on athletics business-operations and finance experience to client engagements.
• Advises client athletic departments on accounting, budget management, financial controls, compliance, and reporting processes.
• Supports broader engagements requiring deep understanding of how athletics departments manage day-to-day finances and mandatory financial reporting.
• Helps build out the practice's operational-efficiency and financial-benchmarking methodology.

Requirements for the Athletics Business Operations & Financial Strategy:

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 6+ years of experience in collegiate athletics business operations, finance, or accounting (e.g., Assistant/Associate AD of Business Operations & Finance).
• Working knowledge of NCAA/conference financial reporting requirements and internal-control practices.
• Demonstrated ability to translate operating experience into client-facing advisory and consulting deliverables.
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to senior client stakeholders.
