Position Overview for the CAPPS Functional Consultant

  • Provide highly advanced senior-level consultative services and functional assistance supporting the CAPPS Program
  • Deliver functional HR expertise, including workforce administration, TAM/CGo, HR security setup, and interpretation of state statutes, HR policies, and labor regulations
  • Serve as a point of contact for CAPPS agencies with functional support for the CAPPS HR/PY application
  • Support the functional design phase by creating and/or reviewing Functional Design Documents (FDDs) and performing functional configuration system changes

Requirements for the CAPPS Functional Consultant:

  • Extensive Texas public sector experience, directly working for or supporting a Texas state government agency
  • Extensive experience supporting the HR module in PeopleSoft HCM version 9.2
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of State of Texas applicable policy
  • Extensive knowledge of federal labor laws
  • Experience preparing WCAG 2.1-compliant materials for distribution
