Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Payroll Specialist:
• Process weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly payrolls for over 60,000 employees across various regions, including union and non-union staff.
• Gather, analyze, and summarize financial data to ensure payroll accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage employee data entry, run payroll processes, prepare reports, and handle manual checks and stop payments.
• Maintain payroll integrity through audits, data analysis, and collaboration with our client's team.
• Provide exceptional customer service and problem resolution to operational staff through email and phone communication.
Required Skills for Payroll Specialist:
• GED or High School Diploma required; an Associate's degree or Technical Training is preferred.
• 1-3 years of experience in payroll or data entry, with familiarity in payroll software systems like ADP or Kronos preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service and effective communication.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
