IDR is seeking a CloudOps RunOps Engineer to join one of our top clients in the New York area. Position Overview/Responsibilities for the CloudOps RunOps Engineer:Maintain and enhance Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) modules and templates for cloud provisioning
Build and support Day 2 automation tasks (monitoring, patching, backup, recovery)
Provide L2/L3 support across cloud infrastructure, OS (Windows/Linux), and PaaS services
Collaborate with SRE, platform, and application teams to ensure system reliability and resiliency
Implement and maintain observability tools such as New Relic, PagerDuty, and ServiceNow
Participate in incident triage, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews
Contribute to the development of RunOps documentation, operational playbooks, and internal knowledge base
5+ years of experience supporting cloud and hybrid infrastructure (AWS preferred; Azure/GCP acceptable)
Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, and scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell
Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and applying DevOps best practices
Familiarity with observability and incident management platforms (e.g., New Relic, PagerDuty)
Knowledge of IDP platforms and developer enablement tooling
Experience using GitHub Copilot or similar tools for automation and code generation
Strong troubleshooting skills with an understanding of ITIL and enterprise operations
Excellent collaboration and communication skills; team-oriented mindset
