Responsibilities:
Assess the maturity and effectiveness of existing EPMO functions, tools, and processes.
Develop future state recommendations and implementation roadmap for a modernized EPMO.
Apply standards from the NYS Project Management Guidebook and PMI PMBOK, including scope, staffing, scheduling, budgeting, risk, communications, and quality.
Evaluate project origination, business case development, and prioritization processes.
Analyze and recommend improvements to demand and performance management approaches.
Define and help implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and report on project outcomes.
Assist with meeting coordination, agendas, minutes, presentations, and deliverable development.
Provide strong written documentation and PowerPoint content for leadership review.
Requirements:
Minimum of 8 years of experience in large-scale healthcare projects.
At least 3 years of general IT systems experience with formal training or education.
3+ years of experience working on enterprise-level systems or projects.
Demonstrated knowledge and practical application of PMI PMBOK principles and the New York State Project Management Guidebook.
Proven ability to lead current state assessments and produce actionable future state recommendations for project management offices.
Experience developing and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, or dashboards to measure program/project performance.
Strong writing skills, including experience developing executive-ready documentation, meeting materials, and PowerPoint presentations.
