Salesforce Marketing Cloud Architect
  • Ongoing contract (Client maintains right to hire after 3 months though rarely exercises this right)
  • Location: New York, NY
  • C2C Pay Rate: $80.00
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand marketing and campaign requirements, acting as a strategic advisor and technical architect.
  • Design and present SFMC architecture to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Lead end-to-end implementation of Salesforce Marketing Cloud, from solution design to post-deployment support.
  • Architect, configure, administer, and operate SFMC tools to build multi-channel campaigns.
  • Provide SFMC technical solutions involving campaigns, workflows, APIs, and ETL processes—ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to define digital marketing roadmaps and support ongoing business growth.
  • Design custom campaign data models and manage customer data within SFMC, leveraging database schemas and ETL processes.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of overall IT experience with at least 6 years in Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Proven experience in at least two end-to-end SFMC implementations
  • Strong expertise in Journey Builder, Email Studio, and optionally Ad Studio, Social Studio, Audience Studio
  • Deep understanding of campaign data management, database schemas, and data integration (ETL)
  • Solid experience with API integrations, automation, and system interoperability
  • Ability to translate marketing business requirements into scalable SFMC solutions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with senior stakeholders
  • Must have completed at least one full lifecycle of campaign management or MRM project using SFMC
