IDR is seeking a Program Manager - R & D to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Calgary, Alberta. This role is ideal for candidates with extensive experience in managing research and development programs within manufacturing or technical environments. Position Overview for the Program Manager - R & D:
- Lead and manage complex R&D programs from concept through production readiness, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to facilitate the design, development, and deployment of new products.
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to meet project milestones.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Drive operational improvements and support site expansions, production line scaling, and transformations.
Requirements for the Program Manager - R & D:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years of experience managing R&D programs and product development projects in manufacturing or technical environments
- Proven success in new product development (NPI) from concept through production readiness
- Hands-on experience in plant operations, production management, and manufacturing transformations
- Strong knowledge of PMO processes, project governance, and continuous improvement initiatives
