IDR is seeking a Solutions Architect to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. This role is ideal for experienced cloud and hybrid environment architects working within the financial services industry, focusing on modern application design and system migration strategies. Position Overview for the Solutions Architect:

• The Solutions Architect will assess, design, and implement modern applications within hybrid on-premises and cloud environments.
• They will create architecture diagrams, technical backlog items, and comprehensive documentation to support system integration and migration.
• The role involves working closely with teams to develop migration patterns, serverless architectures, and data migration strategies, leveraging extensive on-premises Java and Mainframe experience.
• The candidate will drive technical decisions, ensuring the architecture aligns with organizational goals for digital transformation.
• This opportunity requires a proactive leader capable of working through design trade-offs and effectively communicating technical concepts.

Requirements for the Solutions Architect:

• Acting Architect with 15+ years of experience assessing, designing, and implementing modern applications
• Strong communication, proven leader, highly collaborative, ability to work through design decision and trade-offs with team
• On-premises Java architecture familiarity, including WebSphere and integration to mainframe, DB2, and VSAM (understanding required, not necessarily hands-on development)
• On-prem to AWS Cloud migration/integration, including migration patterns, serverless patterns, and data migration
• Background in development or data engineering (not purely functional/API-familiar candidates), experience with integrations between legacy systems including mainframe
