IDR is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Memphis, TN. This role offers a chance to work within a fast-paced, Agile environment focused on cloud-based web applications. As part of the team, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of innovative software solutions.
Position Overview for the QA Automation Engineer:
- Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts for UI using Selenium Java and for REST APIs using Rest Assured and TestNG.
- Build and implement SQL queries and validate databases using automation tools.
- Conduct automated and manual testing strategies for comprehensive end-to-end coverage.
- Perform hands-on testing of Microservices and REST APIs, including automation and integration testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and define test strategies.
Requirements for the QA Automation Engineer:
- 5-8 years of QA automation experience
- Proficiency with Selenium WebDriver + Java and API automation testing (Rest Assured / REST APIs / Postman)
- Experience developing test automation frameworks with TestNG and Cucumber
- Strong SQL/database validation skills, including writing queries and verifying backend data
- Familiarity with Agile QA, CI/CD tools (Jira/Confluence, Bamboo/Git/Stash), and Scrum environment experience
