PHP Engineer
Terms: 6 month contract
Target Pay Rate: $66/hr C2C
Location: Remote anywhere in the US
Details: Key Responsibilities:
Develop, test, and maintain robust and scalable web applications using PHP and the Laravel framework
Build and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services
Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following best practices (SOLID principles, PSR standards, etc.)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on design, development, and deployment
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security
Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, performance issues, and other technical challenges
Stay current with Laravel and PHP ecosystem updates, tools, and best practices
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
Experience in PHP development with a strong focus on Laravel
Solid understanding of MVC architecture, OOP, and design patterns
Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (Vue.js is a plus)
Strong experience with MySQL or other relational databases
Familiarity with Git and version control workflows
Experience in developing and consuming RESTful APIs
Knowledge of application security principles and best practices
Ability to write unit and integration tests (PHPUnit, Pest)
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
