IDR is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join one of our top clients. Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Senior Financial Accountant:
Provide timely and accurate consolidated financial information for internal reporting following Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Develop and maintain adequate internal control policies and procedures
Provide extensive business and analytical/financial support to management
Conduct site audits that require 20 days of travel in the year
Assist with the annual budgeting process by working with leadership to prepare their budgets for the coming year
Perform financial analysis, including pro forma analyses
Participate in the monthly business review (MBR) process
Conduct ongoing internal control compliance audits
Required Skills for Senior Financial Accountant:
Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, audit, or internal control-related fields
Experience with US GAAP analysis
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently
Self-directed, with a natural curiosity around business results and understanding the why behind the numbers
Excellent computer skills with mastery in Excel
Critical analytical thinking skills
Ability to collaborate and partner with all levels of the organization
