Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Linux SysOps Technical Lead:
Oversee Linux-based infrastructures and Linux/Unix administration
Utilize configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, and Github
Scripting using languages such as Bash, Python, and Perl
Manage virtualization and containerization technologies like VMware, Docker, and Kubernetes
Troubleshoot and identify root causes of issues
Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot software applications
This is a long-term contract (1+ year) with the possibility of annual renewal
Required Skills for Linux SysOps Technical Lead:
Expertise in Linux operating systems (e.g., Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu)
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, Perl)
Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Github)
Knowledge of virtualization and containerization technologies (e.g., VMware, Docker, Kubernetes)
Understanding of network protocols, services, and security
Experience with databases such as SQL, MS SQL, MySQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Elasticsearch, Redis, Cassandra, Oracle, and/or Mongo
10+ years of experience in Linux system administration
5+ years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role
