IDR is seeking a Data Scientist to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. This role involves supporting a fast-paced, data-driven environment focused on transforming complex datasets into actionable insights without mentioning compensation details.
Position Overview for the Data Scientist:
- Analyze large and complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable business insights
- Translate data findings into clear, compelling narratives for senior business stakeholders
- Design and implement statistical models for use cases such as anomaly detection, forecasting, causal inference, and NLP
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, with a focus on performance tuning in Snowflake
- Build and maintain data pipelines and analytical workflows using Python (pandas, NumPy)
Requirements for the Data Scientist:
- 3–5+ years of experience in Data Science, Business Analytics, or Business Intelligence roles
- Strong ability to derive meaningful insights from data and identify underlying business drivers
- Solid understanding of statistical concepts and hands-on experience applying them (e.g., forecasting, anomaly detection, causal inference, NLP)
- Advanced SQL expertise, including Snowflake performance tuning
- Proficiency in Python, particularly with pandas and NumPy
