IDR is seeking a QA Engineer / Tester to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Olympia, WA. This role supports a government agency specializing in public services and digital transformation, focusing on testing and ensuring the quality of software solutions. The position involves developing and executing comprehensive test plans and automating test processes to enhance product quality.

Position Overview for the QA Engineer / Tester:

• Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, and test cases for functional, integration, regression, API, and database testing
• Perform both manual and automated testing to validate application functionality and ensure seamless integration across software components and systems
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Katalon and other testing frameworks
• Utilize Postman to create and execute test scripts for RESTful APIs, web services, and microservices
• Conduct database testing to validate data integrity, accuracy, and consistency between applications and backend systems

Requirements for the QA Engineer / Tester:

• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance/testing with a focus on functional, automation, and API testing
• Strong hands-on experience with functional and manual testing
• Hands-on experience with Katalon for test automation
• Strong experience with API testing using Postman, including RESTful APIs, web services, and microservices
• Experience with database testing and backend data validation
